Jen Smith is a wife, mom, author, speaker, entrepreneur, and U.S. Coast Guard captain who has spent a lot of her life thinking about one question:

What actually makes a beautiful life?

​

Not a perfect life. Not an impressive one. A life that feels good to be inside of.

 

She talks about the things that actually make one up: love, family, faith, dreams, money, marriage, friendship, purpose, failure, gratitude, and all the ordinary stuff in between.

​

Jen has built businesses, spoken on stages in front of thousands, raised three daughters, been married for more than 30 years, chased some big dreams, and lived through some really hard things.

​

And somewhere in all of that, she became far less interested in trying to fix life and far more interested in what makes it so amazing to live.

​

Her faith in God is at the center of her life, but you don’t have to share it to pull up a chair. Jen has a way of talking about big things without making them feel heavy. She brings honesty, humor, common sense, and a lot of life to conversations most of us are already having in our own heads.

​

Her newest book, While I’m Still Here, began as the things she desperately wanted her daughters to know about living and became an invitation for all of us to ask: What do I want the people I love to know while I’m still here?

​

Through Launch Your Rocket, Jen is continuing that conversation, exploring what it means to love well, trust God, go after the things that matter, notice the good stuff, and build a life you’re deeply grateful to be living.
